Daryl did a fantastic job of assisting us in buying our new Palisade. The environment was pleasant, pressure nonexistent, and detail oriented, and friendly. Dealership is great, my second palisade, Daryl was excellent, and support staff were excellent as well. It’s why I went back to buy my next vehicle. Daryl Ball really impressed me. Life can be busy and finding time to shop for a new car can be challenging. After submitting a request on the dealership website at 5:45am with my goals for a new car and asking for assistance identifying optionsI was surprised to get a text with a personalized video from Daryl and 7:08, just after the dealership opened. Then anytime I would text him and let him know I was coming down to the dealership to look at cars, or take a test drive, or coordinate time to test drive with my wife, he always had things ready. We Will Never Do Business With Murdock Hyundai of Lindon Again Our experience with Murdock Hyundai of Lindon has been extremely frustrating. After everything we've dealt with, we will never purchase another vehicle here or recommend them to anyone. Our problems started about two and a half years ago when my wife purchased her first vehicle, a 2020 Hyundai Tucson. She had never bought a car before and ended up with an 18% interest rate. I understand rates depend on credit history, but I believe they took advantage of her inexperience. In August 2026, our Tucson suddenly lost power on the freeway. The check engine light began flashing, and we had to pull onto the shoulder. We managed to get home using backroads and discovered the engine had no oil, despite never receiving a low-oil warning. We had the Tucson towed to Murdock Hyundai, where Hyundai approved a complete engine replacement under warranty. During the repair, the dealership recommended replacing additional parts, including hoses and belts. We were quoted approximately $900 but charged $1,348.86. Only after we left a negative review did the dealership acknowledge the billing mistake and refund us $408.46. We shouldn't have had to complain publicly to get charged the correct amount. Less than three weeks after getting the vehicle back, the check engine light returned. This time, the catalytic converter needed replacing. We questioned whether the catalytic converter failure was related to the original engine failure. Their service advisor acknowledged it was possible. Despite this, the dealership offered to cover only 50%, leaving us responsible for approximately $1,400. We escalated the issue to Hyundai corporate, which offered to cover 60%, leaving us responsible for another $918.80 before taxes and fees. Even a senior Hyundai case supervisor acknowledged that the engine failure very well could have contributed to the catalytic converter problem, but Hyundai refused to cover the full replacement. We find it ridiculous that Hyundai replaced our engine under warranty, only for another major component to fail less than three weeks later, and we're expected to pay nearly $1,000 for a problem their own representatives acknowledge might be related. The second repair also took nearly three weeks. We were promised the vehicle by October 5, but that date passed without completion. Communication was terrible. About 90% of the time, we had to call the dealership ourselves for updates. We were eventually told staffing shortages and parts delays were responsible. Between the additional maintenance and our portion of the catalytic converter replacement, we've faced approximately $1,859 in repair expenses, even after the refund. This doesn't include the inconvenience of being without our vehicle for weeks. We've tried resolving this with both the dealership and Hyundai corporate, but neither has agreed to cover the full catalytic converter replacement. We understand that vehicles break down and repairs can take time. What we don't understand is why we're being asked to pay for a repair that may have resulted from an engine failure Hyundai already covered under warranty. Between the original financing, incorrect billing, poor communication, and handling of these repairs, we've lost all trust in Murdock Hyundai of Lindon and Hyundai as a whole. We strongly recommend looking elsewhere if you're considering purchasing or servicing a vehicle here.

My wife and I dropped our cars off for service at Murdock Hyundai of Lindon on October 1st on our way to a wedding. I had absolutely no intention of purchasing a vehicle that day, but I had been eyeing a used 2022 Ford Ranger XLT SuperCrew Off-Road for about a week. I’ve been wanting a truck for a while, so when we returned to the dealership, I showed my wife the truck and told her I wanted to take it for a test drive. Our salesman was Daryl Ball, whom I had worked with about a month earlier when I almost purchased an IONIQ 5. I told Daryl which vehicle I wanted to drive and what numbers I needed to make the deal work. In the end, I traded in my 2022 Kona and drove home in the Ranger! Daryl was fantastic throughout the entire process. He was honest, listened to what we wanted, and never made us feel pressured. He didn’t play the typical dealership games that you sometimes experience elsewhere. The whole process was straightforward, friendly, and stress-free. I would highly recommend Daryl Ball at Murdock Hyundai of Lindon to anyone looking for an honest, no-pressure, no-games experience when purchasing a vehicle.
